extras

I can't wait to see this show. Won't be until it hits DVD, but it'll be worth the wait.

no soliciting

I understand this sign to mean that you can't be trying to sell magazine subscriptions to people while the building is on fire, for example? But it sounds like soliciting is ok as long as there isn't an emergency.

saw jiz on a car

The other day I was walking past this Cadillac at Home Depot and something caught my eye. Yes, there is JIZ on the license plate. Is he making a statement about his ability to perform, despite his age? Maybe the color of the car is "Jiz White"? In any case I am surprised that plate was actually issued.

From the Ohio BMV website:

All personalized or initial license plates are subject to approval. If you are applying for a personalized or initial license plate it may appear to be approved when ordering, however, each plate must be approved by a committee before it is issued.
(all emphases theirs)

I wonder what else this "committee" is likely to approve for a license plate? SEMEN? CUM4U? GOATSX?
I realize that it's possible, maybe even likely, that the owner's initials are JIZ (I just wouldn't ever use my initials if it were me), but does that mean that Cathy U. Morgan can get CUM? and that Aaron S. Smith can get ASS? and what about Frank Ulysses Charles Kramer... can he have FUCK on his license plate?

begin again

A new year, a fresh start.

However, I'm going to start with a retrospective detour. Looking back at 2005, I averaged almost 10 posts per month. Not too bad. Especially considering the odd "crater" in the May to June timeframe, due to the server losing a hard drive and me losing 5 weeks of blog entries.

Now if only I had 10 interesting posts per month. That would really be impressive.

Anyway, I predict my 2006 average will fall. I start school again in two days and it's going to be... fun. But I will certainly have less time than ever to do anything but school and work. Goody. Well, here's hoping that fewer posts will mean better posts, but I can't promise anything.

Happy New Thing, people.
