I think I mentioned before that I got a Hitachi SATA II hd about 6 months ago. It sat on my desk for 6 months. I installed it the other day and I'm finally running my computer from it.

So? Well, it sucks. It makes annoying noises. Sometimes it sounds like a rock tumbler. WTF? This is yet another cheap IDE drive, only it happens to have a built in PATA-to-SATA converter. Stupid. I still want an SAS drive. A WD Raptor SATA would probably be ok ... but for me that is 2nd to SAS.
