I haven't visited anyone's blog lately, but I've still kept up to the minute with any updates posted. How you ask? RSS feeds.

I get feeds from blogs, news sites, and weather info. I can easily keep track of which posts/articles/alerts/comments I've read and which I haven't. It's almost like an "Inbox" for the web; where the new items represent new content from the sites to which you're subscribed ("subscribed" just indicates that you access a feed). Think about it; why load X different sites or blogs in your browser, when you can just check the RSS feeds from all those sites all at once? You can instantly see which sites have been updated since last time you checked their feed, and see headlines from the new articles or posts-- click on an interesting one and it takes you right to the site to read the full story.

Of course, we all have those little orange RSS feed links on our blogs, and we've seen them elsewhere on the web, but it may not be clear to some how you can use RSS . What you need is a good aggregator (essentially an RSS-reader). I use "Akregator" (a KDE app) and I love it. If you use Thunderbird (it's probably more likely than you running KDE on Linux/having Akregator) then I strongly encourage you to try Thunderbird's built in RSS reader. This this and this represent the biggest bunch of stupid shit I've heard in a long time.

This is about a group of self-obsessed politicians (like Hilarly) taking up a NON-issue to appear good, pure and noble to a bunch of whack-jobs; morons who believe think that theft, murder, gang violence, drug dealing and everything else that was "M - mature" rating approved in the game are signifcantly less offensive than some characters having sex (while FULLY CLOTHED I might add)!

Oh puhlease. Why is it that sex is soooo taboo and soooo offensive in this country, while guns, guts, gore, death, violence, killing and murder are so relatively benign?

The moral of the story is that it doesn't live up to it. Almost any given SATA drive on the market right now offers very little or no advantage based over a similar PATA drive.

My conclusion is based on my research into the advantages and pitfalls of SATA and on my own personal experience with my new SATA II (300 MB/sec theoretical maximum transfer rate) hard drive.
