Actually got some things done today. Installed a few more new electrical outlets (to replace to old 2-prong style). I bought GFCIs for the garage, kitchen, and both bathrooms. Then I got out the dremel and ground away at the striker for the door to the garage. It now latches and can therefore be locked! Probably should have done that sooner. Still working on the dedicated 20 amp circuit for the new server room in the basement. As soon as this is finished I can move my servers to their new home. I will be running cat6 from the server room to the office and to each of the bedrooms as well as the media room. Hopefully I'll get a gigabit switch for Christmas to really make use of it all!

Just for fun I think I'm going to attempt to clone the old MT style I was using before the switch. That'll give me a chance to poke around under the hood of this new blogging engine and see if it is as malleable as I hope it is.

This will just be an academic exercise, mind you, as the old style wasn't particularly interesting. Afterwards I plan to create a custom look for my blog. I've some ideas but I'm keeping them under wraps for now.

That is to say, the rebirth of my blog, and in more ways than one. First is that fact that I ditched MT, just as I proclaimed I would, so my blog is very different, and is powered by the exquisite b2evolution. Second is the fact that I'm actually going to start blogging again. My old MT bound site sat, broken, for about six months after I killed it. (which was about six months after I started it).

Here's to my new blog, and let's see if I can make it last more than one year!
