The world is so small

After (re)discovering the brilliant BBC radio website this evening and listening to BBC Radio 1, BBC news, etc; I was first of all taken back to November last year when we visited London, but also reminded just how big yet so small our world is.

With a characteristically British accent, the BBC news radio host is reports that the Queen and Prime Minister are congratulating Briton Ellen MacArthur for her success in setting a new speed record for solo-circumnavigating the globe.

On BBC Radio 1, a punky but friendly sounding host gaffs at the atrocity just committed; someone cut short the last part of "Champagne Supernova" with another song.

Meanwhile I am soothed nearly to sleep by BBC Radio 3, after the sophisticated, but certainly not snobish sounding female host announces the next piece, Pachelbel's Canon in G.

Mmmmmm... Priceless.
